Tree planting is a wonderful experience. A seed is like magic, a seemingly lifeless thing that can grow
into a living plant. It aims to raise awareness to every municipality, the importance of planting and
saving trees especially when we used to experience midst of pandemic and rainy season.
Last July 22, 2022 Toyota Lucena donated a total of three hundred (300) assorted plant seedlings of
Fruit-bearing and Forest Trees to the Municipal of Lucena City, Quezon Province and planted two
hundred (200) assorted plant seedlings of Fruit-bearing and Forest Trees to Mt. Banahaw, in the
Municipal of Lucban, Quezon province. Plant seedlings included Kalantas, Molave, Makaasim, Katmon,
Kamagong/Mabolo, Gumihan and Kalumpit. This was part of TMP’s initiative of the Annual Tree Planting
as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity. The plan of tree planting was successful and
enjoyed by our selected team members, we planted the seedlings to our partnered school Southern
Luzon State University (SLSU) who offered to conduct the tree planting and donated the other half of
seedlings to the Municipal of Lucena. Thankfully, the team members did not feel as if this was a
compliance nor a requirement. Here are their experiences about the activity:
“Participating in this kind of activity is a significant experience. It brings good camaraderie among
employees while being involved in sustaining our nature. We're able to get to know other individuals
from different departments. We also acquire new knowledge about forestry and be able to experience
the beauty it possesses. Indeed, TLC is keeping with the mission it upholds.” – Maery Lousse Ambas,
Corporate Culture Staff
